In ancient Egypt, the pharaohs and men and women of nobility were buried in the region known today as Valley of the Kings. Their tombs were full of treasured belongings that were meant to accompany them into the afterlife.
Such is the inspiration behind the name of this card line, as words can be treasures kept eternally with loved ones lost, and carried into their next lives.

Valley of the Kings is the greeting card line – and passion project – of X Height Media, the Toronto-based graphic design team owned and operated by twin sisters, Leslie and Lisa Jones.
As designers, Leslie and Lisa have always sought ways to ‘go beyond’ in their industry, and have also always been drawn to ‘the unconventional’. Going left of centre, then, to create something like a card line for an unlikely audience – loved ones in the afterlife – was inevitable.
They are proud to contribute creativity and innovation to the death care and greeting card industries, and can’t wait to reveal what the future holds for Valley of the Kings.
